El proyecto BigSky comenzó en Strymon como un viaje de estudio e investigación. Se probaron, estudiaron y examinaron unidades de reverberación físicas, arquitecturas de algoritmos, publicaciones académicas y técnicas de programación de las últimas cinco décadas. En BigSky se utilizaron tanto elementos de reverberación tradicionales como todos los nuevos elementos de reverberación desarrollados por la propia Strymon a lo largo de los años.
